What height would best suit my needs?
You would first want to determine both your working and platforms height dimensions so you are able to figure the amount of steps you would need.
How wide should my ladder be?
This will depend on your surroundings. Is this being used outdoors? In a warehouse? In a manufacturing facility? Standard widths are 16”, 24” and 30”. You also want to ask yourself: Will people pass the ladder in an aisle? Where will it be stored when not in use and is there enough space to accommodate?
What are some additional items I should be aware of before purchasing?
- When choosing the right dimensions, be sure to think about doorways, overhead obstructions and corners you would be faced with in your workplace.
- Consider some additional options (i.e. tread, material) when purchasing
- Is the ladder going to be used indoors? Outdoors? Both?
- For my unusual application or maneuvering around the workplace, should I consider a custom option?
